A simple, but very tasty BLT, and fries to go with it. So good that I had a 2nd one.
We were in the area to pickup trees. Once we went inside didn't want to leave. For a business in the middle of nowhere, it is above expectations. Very clean, staff was very courteous, exceptionally fast service, and outstanding variety and quality of food. We had the days buffet, BBQ pork, mashed potatoes gravy, fried okra, dessert, and salad. All this at a very reasonable price. Note to the owner, all the ladies deserve a pay increase. Recommend this business highly.
They always have good comfort foods. The staff are friendly, patient with us as THE SUNDAY CHURCH CROWD. I always try to arrive before 1:15 so they can get ready to close down at 2:00. Love seeing all these small-town folks enjoying food after Sunday church at several church gathering places around Nac county.
Great food, I tried the little buffet. Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fried squash, green beans and cornbread. Even came with desert. My company had the small chick fried steak. They said it was delicious and a huge serving for "the small". The service made me feel like I was back home with my grandma making sure I ate it all and didn't get extra "yes ma'am" all the way loved it.
We had a very delicious breakfast! I asked for a cup of hot tea with the response they had no tea bags. However our waitress "Joyce" said she could make the cup of tea another way!! It was the best, thank you Joyce! This cafe is a "go to" anytime in the Douglass area!
We had a great visit to the Douglass Corner Cafe. There were 4 of us, and had plenty of room for us to sit comfortably and visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our order, and delivery to our table was quick. The food was happy home cooked style, and hit the spot. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop in for a bite.
Was not expecting this place to be good, but we were taken by surprise. Order Catfish Basket. Food was fresh, food quality was exceptional, portion size was good, service was excellent. I'm definitely coming back on our next road trip. This place is in the middle of nowhere, but it's worth the drive. You know a place has good food if you would drive hours for.
Delicious hand made burger with all the trimmings the cook was very nice told me she hand pressed it herself and it was a perfect hamburger. All other employees were just as nice. The price was very reasonable, cheaper then Mickey D . Great country atmosphere. Just out side of Nacogdoches. Very convenient location.
